I Gotta Find Peace of Mind

So... in going through a horrible break-up, and in hopes of beginning a more promising one, I'm picking up my needles again, not only has it given me a chance to think (mostly) uninterrupted. It also gives me a chance to become creative again.

Notice I said "Become Creative", yes I'd lost my creativity a while ago, which is why there haven't been any posts in gosh, nearly a year. I cannot vow that that will never happen again, I can only pinky swear, that I'll try not t let it every happen again.

I've got a lot of projects I'm starting on, such as my first attempt at Wrist Warmers, which I think went swimmingly well, though they are a bit on the large side, my fault for accidentally going one row over the pattern, and not realizing it until I had already finished up sowing the sides :P. It's all fine, we make mistakes. They're very cute however and actually match the nail polish I have on, something my mother pointed out when I showed her the photo. (Which I will be uploading later as it's pushing 1am here and I can barely keep my eyes open and drool from grazing the keyboard, yes I know an adorable visual).

So what I'm trying to say is...for the time being... I'm back :)! Ravelry and all, so expect more news and more projects, ESPECIALLY since I've decided EVERYONE'S getting hand made gifts this year, I've become unemployed (Part of the aforementioned break-up), and simply cannot afford to buy much of anything, so gifts from the heart is what everyone is receiving.
I really should get going before I turn this into some horrible version of a yarn loving memoir :p.

Ciao Bella Yarnettes!

Don't Stop 'Til Ya Get Enough!

I am totally loving the fact, that I've followed a pattern...and it's coming out the way it's supposed to...
No...really!

This is a first for me!

Usually I read it...mess it up some how, go back, re-read it. Then realize that I've messed it up, have to frogg some of it ( a new term I've picked up :P, that's right, I'm cool now :D! yay me), re-re-read the pattern, and try to do it again. THEN I get frustrated, cause I've messed it up again, and decide to just forget about it. So yes, you could say this is a first for me.. and it toooootally rocks!

Plus, I'm doing it seemingly really fast, so I'll definitely be done with it by the end of January so I can give it to its new home. Giggidy!!

Seeee there it is! That was yesterday, since then I've added on 12 more rows with no problem! (knocks on wood).
Infact I'm actually running out of the yarn that I am using for it, so I'll have to go back and get more....and I just got my paycheck... Need Yarn + Yarn store + Just got paychcek =...well...you do the math.. :P.

Would be projects...

I woke up like it was friggin' christmas this morning (nearly a week later :P) just to take photos of what I'm currently working on!
Snapped away like I was a Vogue photographer and my yarns/projects were Naomi Campbell, Adriana Lima, and Tyson Beckford rolled into one...Yeah.. Until I tried to upload them to the laptop. The girl's jump drive doesn't support her camera chip. OWIE! It hurts! Soooo you will be left wondering the beauty of my projects, well until I can find a way to upload em.
Buuuuummmmmerrrr!

*UPDATE* So Mrs. Beautiful woke up and helped me with the uploading of photos. Apparehently you can also use a USB chord with her camera, TA DAAAA! So below will be photos of the work at hand! Yay me!

So for now..I'm working:

1)Mini flowers in various shades. Trying to see if I can work them into a necklace bracelets...damn..hair-tye's. lol

2) Shells Scarf by Red Heart

3) Stockinette Scarf. by Noone in particular just following the basics from another beginner pattern and putting another little twist on it.

4)Shells Mesh Flat Tote, I got this one from About.com (excellent in helping figure out some of the stitches). This is the first side, which is not, I repeat, is not completed as of yet. I was like waaay into it and had to take a break :P.

So that's pretty much it for now. I've decided, instead of freaking out over not getting it IMMEDIATELY, like I was when I (don't laugh :-( ) couldn't get the cable stitch, I'll just work my way up.. with my ultimate goal being the two hats I mentioned in my earlier post, and a pair of adorable socks for the misses :D!

Let me try not to pull out my braids eh?
